Club Coaching

Bett Dryhurst has now handed over the coaching at Hampton to Andy Warmington. Andy is a Level 3 Coach. He also works at Solihull Arden Club. Steve Tyson and Oliver Talbot both Level 1 coaches support the coaching programme.

Contact Details.
Warmington – 0788627 1954 Junior Coaching Saturday 2.30 – 4pm £4 per session payable on the day to Andy. Steve and Oliver can arrange Sunday Coaching sessions by prior arrangement. All levels of ability catered for.

Senior Coaching for individuals or groups. Club members must book and pay for the court. Adults £14 for 40 minutes Juniors £10 for 30 minutes

Reminder – Eye protection All juniors must wear recommended eye protection – guidelines on the England Squash website (link).

Junior Warwickshire Squash County Squash training is available to any players in Warwickshire. An £8 joining fee is required at the beginning of the season. The Junior Country Closed takes place each September. Visit the Warwickshire Squash Web site for more details.

Warwickshire County Achievements
Warwickshire have 3 Hampton juniors playing for them.
Emily Hodge – under 13 girls and Under 15 girls
Grace Talbot - under 15 girls and under 17 girls
Oliver Talbot – under 19 boys

The under 13 girls team played in the County finals in March, away in Manchester and won The under 15 girls also reached the finals in Portsmouth in March and came 4th.

Warwickshire Elite and West Midlands Academy Players.
Emily Hodge and Grace Talbot have both been selected to attend the Elite County Training Sessions with Mo Sarwar at Coventry & North Warks Squash Club.

Grace has played for the West Area Academy in the National Academy Tournament in 2006 and 7 and was selected for the team this year playing at the Priory in Birmingham. She plays for the under 15 and under 17 teams. The Academy feeds in to the national squash squad.

Warwickshire Junior County Closed
Four Hampton juniors took part in September 2006

Emily Hodge – played in the under 13 competition
Grace Talbot – under 15 runner up
George Keily – played in the under 17 competition
Oliver Talbot –runner up in the under 19 competition

West Area Closed
Grace Talbot took part in this tournament at Birmingham University in October. Grace won the under 15 age group.

Inter – Club Competitions
Hampton Juniors have not had enough players this year to take part in the competition. 3 juniors at each age group are needed.

Solihull Schools Sports Federation Roll of Honour.
Rachel Finch and Grace Talbot were both presented with Roll of Honour medals for achievements in Squash. Both names will appear in the Council House Roll of Honour Book. The awards were presented by the Mayor at the Council House.

First E Graded Tournament at Hampton – July 2007
A very successful event with 3 juniors from Hampton taking part. Emily Clement won in the F2 (beginners) Grade Emily Hodge won in the E Grade Grace Talbot came 3rd in the D Grade. 22 juniors took part on the day.

Junior Coaching For September 2007
